What is Volcano
I heard about the volcano before 🤔??….
We all see volcanoes in movies and news, but did you ask yourself why or how do they happen? On our trip today, we will explore the volcano and see its formation, why it happens, and how.. Are you ready, hero ??
Let’s start our journey
The volcano is considered one of the most terrifying phenomena in nature, and it is an opening or fissure in (Crust) that allows magma and trapped gases to exit to the surface of the earth (and here its name turns into Lava) and magma exits from temporary chambers or cavities located at depths under the surface of the earth called magma chambers.
One of the causes of volcanoes
The energy of the trapped gases, which is considered the main force for the eruption of volcanoes, and this is evident in the places of overlapping and meeting tectonic plates, where it leads to the occurrence of cracks in the Crust through which magma is released, and during its ascent it works on the melting of the rocks it encounters to reach the surface of the earth (and turns into lava) and when exposed For air and normal atmospheric pressure, it cools and freezes to form igneous rocks that form the body of the volcano in the form of a cone, usually.
The parts of the volcano are:
Vent: From which lava and gases and others erupt.
Pipe: Magma flows through it from magma chambers into the vent.
The volcanic cone (Cone): represents the shape of the volcano and has vent.
After we know the parts, let’s describe the volcanoes according to the activity.
Volcanoes are classified into three types:
Dormant Volcanoes:
It becomes completely dormant after its eruptions due to the depletion of magma completely from magma chambers. This type represents most volcanoes.
Volcanoes with Intermittent Eruptions:
It erupts intermittently, such as the Vesuvius volcano in Italy and the Etna volcano in Sicily.
Volcaones with Constantly Eruptions:
It erupts continuously, like the Stromboli volcano in Italy.
